For the companies expanding globally, this visit provided a valuable opportunity to gain insights into Singapore’s state-of-the-art logistics facilities and the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of logistics.
Toll City: The Gateway in Asia for smarter and sustainable logistics
The delegation visited Toll City, Toll Group’s flagship logistics hub in Singapore, which serves as a testbed for next-generation supply chain solutions. Spanning 100,000 square meters, this facility is designed to deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions, integrating automation, digitalization, and sustainability to drive operational excellence.
A key highlight of the visit was the Toll Innovation Centre, where delegates explored a suite of advanced technologies designed to enhance safety, efficiency, visibility, and sustainability in logistics, including:
- Generative AI and data analytics: Driving smarter decision-making and operational efficiency through predictive insights.
- IoT and Smart Connectivity: Enabling real-time tracking, automation and optimised logistics networks.
- Digital twins and Virtual simulation: Revolutionizing supply chain modelling and simulation for better planning and optimization.
- Supply chain visibility: Improving end-to-end transparency and seamless coordination across global networks.
- E-commerce management: Streamlining order fulfillment.
- Sustainable traceability: Ensuring responsible sourcing and product authentication for a greener, more transparent supply chain.
The delegation also toured Toll City’s seven-storey warehousing facility, experiencing firsthand the smart warehousing capabilities that support customers with automated inventory tracking, temperature-controlled storage, and value-added services like customized packaging.
